From 1999-2006, Crude Accountability staff published Caspinfo, a free information service that consistently provided critical environmental information on the Caspian region to more than 1300 subscribers worldwide. As of summer 2006, we are pleased to announce that Caspinfo will be published under new auspices, led by Crude Accountability co-founder Aleksey Knizhnikov, thereby enabling Crude Accountability to focus our efforts on our important campaigns for environmental justice.
Caspinfo provided a forum for a free and open exchange of information on environmental issues critical to the Caspian region.
On the 1999-2006 Caspinfo website you will find a wide variety of environmental materials including: official governmental and international documents; directories; reports; surveys; methodological and scientific literature; and periodicals, including:
- Caspinfo Bulletin past issues - Published every two weeks, the Caspinfo bulletin provided simple, no-cost access to information on environmental issues, business initiatives, legal developments and scientific findings. Caspinfo systematized and archived information from regional and international NGOs, the mass media, and business and government structures. Russian is the primary language for the bulletin, with an abbreviated version published regularly in English. Caspinfo has been a trusted source of timely information on the environmental issues of the Caspian region.
- Caspinfo Library - This archive, begun in 1999, contains a wide variety of materials related to the environment including: official governmental and international documents; directories; reports; surveys; methodological and scientific literature; and periodicals.
